Sunken concrete can create a lot of problems.
It can cause trip hazards.
It can make water drain the wrong way.
It can make your driveway, sidewalk, patio, garage floor, pool deck, or commercial concrete look unsafe and uneven.
No problem. We have a proven solution.
At The Concrete Team, we currently specialize in mudjacking, also called slabjacking, for concrete lifting and leveling. Mudjacking uses a grout-like material to fill voids under the slab, support the concrete, and raise it back toward the surrounding surface.
Poly leveling is another concrete lifting method some companies use, but it is not a service we currently offer. This page explains the difference between poly leveling and mudjacking so you can better understand your options.

Concrete leveling is the process of raising sunken or uneven concrete back into a better position.
Instead of tearing out your concrete and pouring new slabs, we lift the existing concrete from below. This can often save time, reduce mess, and cost less than full concrete replacement.
Concrete leveling may also be called:
The names can get confusing. The goal is simple.
We raise settled concrete with mudjacking, fill voids beneath the slab, and help make the surface safer, cleaner, and more usable again.
Mudjacking is a concrete raising method that uses a grout-like material to lift sunken concrete.
Small holes are drilled through the concrete. Then the lifting material is pumped underneath the slab. As the space below the concrete fills, the slab is raised back toward its proper position.
Mudjacking has been used for many years and is still a strong solution for many residential, commercial, municipal, and industrial concrete lifting projects.
At The Concrete Team, mudjacking has been a major part of our concrete raising work since 2009.
Poly leveling, also called poly lifting or polyjacking, uses expanding polyurethane foam to raise and stabilize sunken concrete.
Small holes are drilled through the concrete. Then polyurethane foam is injected below the slab. The foam expands under the concrete, fills empty spaces, and gently lifts the slab.
The foam cures quickly, which means many areas can be used again soon after the work is complete.
Poly leveling can be a good solution for many homes, businesses, and commercial properties where speed, smaller injection holes or lighter material are important.
Both methods are used to raise sunken concrete. The main difference is the material used underneath the slab.
Mudjacking uses a cement-based grout material. Whereas,
poly leveling uses expanding polyurethane foam.
Both can lift concrete.
Both can stabilize slabs.
Both can help fix trip hazards, uneven surfaces, and drainage problems.
The best choice depends on the project.
Some companies offer poly lifting. Others offer mudjacking.
The Concrete Team currently specializes in mudjacking, also called slabjacking, because it is a proven way to raise, level, and stabilize settled concrete.
Before we recommend a repair, we look at the full project.
We look at the concrete.
We look at the amount of settlement.
We look at the soil and voids below the slab.
We look at how the area is used.
We look at access, cost, timing, and the final result you need.
Then we explain the repair in plain language.
No pressure.
No unnecessary repairs.
Just honest advice and a practical solution.
Mudjacking may be a good choice for many concrete lifting projects, especially when a durable grout material is the right fit for the slab and the conditions below it.
Mudjacking may be used for:
Mudjacking can also be helpful when larger voids need to be filled under concrete.
Because the material is grout-like, it can provide strong support below the slab. For many projects, mudjacking remains a reliable, cost-effective concrete raising solution.
Poly leveling may be a good choice when speed, lighter material or smaller holes are important.
Poly lifting may be used for:
Polyurethane foam is lightweight and expands below the slab. It can fill voids, stabilize loose areas, and lift concrete with less added weight under the surface.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer.
The right method depends on the concrete and what is happening underneath it.
That is why The Concrete Team takes the time to inspect the area and explain what we recommend before you decide.
We will only recommend work that makes sense for your project.
Both mudjacking and poly leveling require small holes to be drilled through the concrete so material can be placed under the slab.
After the lifting is complete, the holes are patched.
The size and appearance of the patched holes depend on the method, the slab, and the surface condition. We will explain what to expect before the work begins so you are not surprised after the project is complete.
Our goal is to raise and stabilize your concrete while leaving the work area clean.
Many concrete leveling projects can be completed much faster than concrete replacement.
The exact time depends on the size of the project, the number of slabs, access to the area, the repair method, and the amount of lifting needed.
Residential projects are often completed in hours. Larger commercial or municipal projects may take longer and may require more planning.
For commercial clients, we can also discuss scheduling options that help reduce disruption to your business, tenants, customers, or staff and minimize downtime.
